Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo in Cherokee, NC. This tiger was actually at a small zoo. We originally stopped to see the bears but I was thrilled to see this tiger. He was in a small room and continually paced back and forth. When he finally decided to lie down, I took this photo.

Time

It was early evening, somewhere around 2 or 3.

Lighting

The photo was taken with natural lighting. It just so happened to have a sky light right over the tigers small area.

Equipment

Canon Powershot. Digital. No other equipment was used.

Inspiration

I love animals but He looked so sad...

Editing

No

In my camera bag

I usually take a tripod, colored lenses, and an extra battery.

Feedback

I have found that close zoom on many animals brings out the color of their eyes but it also seems to show their emotion. To me, seeing emotion in an animals eyes makes them more "human".
