This photo was taken right in my living room, I don't have a lot of space to work in so I use the areas I have around me.Time
The image was taken mid-afternoon when the sun coming through the window shade was hitting everything perfectly.Lighting

I have always been enamored with the way eyes look in photographs, especially close-up. To me eyes have always looked like a tiny galaxy, I love it and really wanted to convey that in this photo.Editing
The only post-processing on this photo was a simple filter I found online, nothing fancy or difficult.In my camera bag
In my bag I really only carry three things, my camera and two lenses (regular and telephoto). I only bring my tripod and external shutter if I know for certain that I am going to use them, and that is not often.Feedback
I am just an amateur so my advice might not be the greatest, but one thing I'd like to say is don't get frustrated if the first few don't come out how you would like. I take tons and tons of photos and only really like a handful. Also people blink so be prepared for a few shots of eyelids.
