As the title states, this image was taken at Russian Ridge, California, on Easter Sunday. Driving up Page Mill road, it looked like I was going to be in for a very boring sunset. But the moment I reached the ridge, it became clear that there was just the right amount of fog, at just the right altitude, and I knew I was going to be in for a show. That is what is most fun about the spring months in the Santa Cruz Mountains – you never know what is going to be over the next ridge until you cross it. On this day, I could not have hoped for anything more picturesque. A better sermon than any church could give.
