Location
This shot was taken in the Kitchen of my home in a mocked up mini studio. I am self taught photographer, every shot is a fun and new learning experience. The models are three of my action man collection in their diving gear.Time
This image was created in the early evening between about 6 30 and 8 pm, I Played around with various light sources to try and create the exact balance to achieve the diver shadow/Lighting
I aimed to create studio style lighting using a mixture of different sizes and styles and strengths of various lamps and this involved experimenting with position and strength till the right balance was found to create the effect I was looking for.Equipment
This was taken with a Sony Alpha 200 DLSR with a 18-70 MM Lens.Inspiration
The inspiration was part of a creation of a catalogue of a action man collection created over 40 years.Editing
I inverted the image into a negative to bring out the luminosity of the divers gear and to give an underwater effect and then added a blue filter.In my camera bag
Always carry my Olympus Digital Camera, my Sony alpha 200 DLSR with the 18-70 mm lens and 300 mm lens also, a fisheye and a panoramic lens which I am still learning. A mini tripod and standard tripod and a flash gun which again I am very much still learning.Feedback
I think in any shot it should be about not being afraid to experiment, this shot was a combination of a particularly intended composition, trial, error and a bit of luck!
