Location

I took this shot at an old covered bridge in Greenville, SC

Time

This was a beautiful early spring morning. 7:30-8:00 in the morning after taking several shots during the sunrise.

Lighting

It was perfect morning lighting and the sun was in the right position. Fill flash was needed.

Equipment

Sony RX100 with fill flash

Inspiration

I was taking photos of the daughter of my friend for her senior picture. I had her stand on this one end of the bridge and in my mind I saw her mother standing on the other end watching. I had the mother stand at the other end and I wanted to capture this feeling of the mother watching her daughter growing up and then leaving to move on with her life. And she was pondering, proud.... and sad, yet hopeful for all that ahead for her daughters life. It was a very sweet moment. The mom and the daughter are very close. I love this photo the most out of all 125 that I took!
