Bug on a vine leaf (The Huhu Beetle)

I had to be a little bit brave taking this shot as these huge bugs scare the living daylight out of me!!! They have a habit of flying into the windows and landing with a thud! We used to get BillyWitches AKA May Bugs & Cockchafers (a type of Scarab beetle) back in East Anglia in the UK where I grew up, that looked very smiliar to this; but this one has a longer body (about 5.5cm - 6 cms long) and really long antennae. We get loads of these giant bugs in our garden in New Zealand during the summer months and they seem to be attracted to light. They are quite clumsy also when they fly! If there are any VB members out there who know exactly what type of beetle this is, I would really like to know for sure!! Thanks for looking :) Since writing, I have been told by a kind knowledgeable VB member that this monster is a Huhu beetle (largest beetle in New Zealand!) Very interesting bugs indeed!!!
