Location
It's a fishing pond just outside Tarbolton in Ayrshire, ScotlandTime
I think it was about 5amLighting
I was leaving for work from my girlfriends house (now my wife), and I was just catching the sunrise and when I passed the pond I caught sight of the scene in my mirror so I quickly pulled over and grabbed my camera out the boot and took the shot.Equipment
it was Pentax K30, f29, 1/125 and 320ISO (it was early and I was in a hurry), not sure of the lens used. No flash or tripod.Inspiration
It was just a beautiful scene I had to capture.Editing
I adjusted the shadows and lighting etc but that was all.In my camera bag
2 bodies (K3 and K30) 70-200mm f2.8 18-250mm f3.5 70-200mm 50mm f1.8 Spare batteries and cards Wide angle filter Flashes and remote triggersFeedback
I'm self taught so I'm not overly familiar with correct terminology, I kind of just know how to get a good shot even if it means adjusting the settings etc. If pushed I would say I use 'the force' to get the shot I want. Best advice I can give is trust ur instincts and keep your eyes open, and it doesn't matter if u get it wrong, keep at it and you'll keep improving.
