Location
I was outside taking pictures for a project I was working on and noticed the sky. It looked like watered silk. I couldn't resist capturing it before it got away. I'd never seen a sunset like this before.Time
It was sunset going into fall so I can't remember if it was before daylight savings time changed or not, but the time was around 5:30 to 7:00 in the evening in Southern New Jersey.Lighting
This was all natural lighting.Equipment
This was taken awhile ago and a couple of cameras ago, I think it might have been my old Kodiak and I don't remember what model it was. It was my first almost professional camera.Inspiration
when I looked up and my breath caught in my throat. I just started taking pictures. When I was done, and the sky was dark I found I was shaking with excitement.Editing
I did just a little photo shop to bring up the already deep colours, but anything else no.In my camera bag
Now, I travel with a Canon EOS 60D and a variety of lenses.Feedback
If you don't have the camera and lenses with you all the time you won't get the shots, by the time you retrieve you equipment the shot is gone. So get the hunchback, take advill or whatever, and carry the weight. The good cameras are getting smaller and the lenses are getting lighter so the backaches may become a thing of the past.
