This was shot early mornning in winter at St Peters Pass in the midlands of Tasmania. Is is a rest stop that is hidden and easily missed ..... unless

Great place for spotting platypus and walking the dog.

This is a beautiful spot with caves everywhere ... it is mostly sandstone so the coast is constantly evolving ... or more acurately eroding.

The echidnas in Tasmania are different to the ones on the mainland as they have more fur to keep them warm.

Tassie Devils are having a tough time at the moment with a transmittable facial cancer. There are organisations here in Tasmania and on the mainland

There is such a great energy at this place ... you feel like you have stepped back in time. Its a working mill so not what you would call too modern

Opium poppy farming is popular in Tasmania and you can see fields of them in the North.

Mostly sandstone you can see how the sea has created very interesting places to investigate. The water is lovely and clear ... cold but clear.

This is where all the boats sleep on the Tamar River. It's only small cos there is only a population of 90,000 in Launceston Tasmania.
