Overexposed into the sun. The fog was heavy.

Behind The Lens

Location

This phot was taken in Nordmarka wich is a large forrest/wilderness area right outside the city of Oslo, Norway.

Time

This was shot in the afternoon in immense fog.

Lighting

Fairly experimental. Shot straight into the sun. Upped the warmth a bit. Shot at 200 so the sun is pretty big back there. Overexposed as I do when shooting into sun. What I like about it is the texture in the upper left corner. That is spooky.. And that it is a face there of course. That was the plan whilst shooting, but it didn't look that obvious in editing. Now I see the man whith his arms out and the funny twist at the legs.. :p Maybe its just me... Lol... And it looks like a cat if you move away.. You need fog to get this result.

Equipment

This was shot with the canon 5 d 2 and the 70-200 L 2 lens.

Inspiration

I like to shoot in the fog because it is a great oportunity to isolate things. And it will also alter light, both natural light as here but also other light sources.

Editing

The only editing here is the warmt wich was upped a bit.

In my camera bag

Canon 5 D 2 and for lenses I usually carry a 70-200, a 14 mm and a 24-70 lens. Some polarizers and a tripod in the car.

Feedback

You need heavy fog, some tress and the sun just comming through.
