My friend Andrew lives in my favourite sanctuary .Wallabies like this eat the grass around his house every morning and evening.
I like the colour matching that happens between the wallaby and his surroundings.The bluey grey of the iron shed and the wallabies chest,the colours of the old rusty iron farm tools and the colours on its face ..The grass he is munching on and the long blades of grass hiding the firewood.
For the viewer there is a connection because the wallaby is looking dead square at you ,curious but ready for a quick getaway if needs be.The creature remains wild despite his surroundings.
