Behind The Lens

This picture was an idea I came up with using a toy from a happy meal. I thought it looked like a Chinese lantern, and I loved the way it lit my daughters face up, so I decided to capture that look before the magic and the batteries ran out.Time
It was after bed time on a Friday night, so it was likely after 10pmLighting
I wanted it to look like a magical orb of light, and it wasn't that bright being a happy meal toy. It was all about timing, and allowing the shutter to stay open long enough.Equipment
I used a Cana 60DInspiration
It reminded me of some sort of Christmas movie kind of thing. Like it was a secret "thing" that she had found, and wanted to keep to herself.Editing

In my bag I normally have just the one camera body, and a couple of lenses. Nothing too fancy. OH! And I have a big box of trial and error.Feedback
It helps if you have a willing subject. It helps a lot more if you are her parent. That way you can pretty much tell them whatever you want, and they have to do it because you are the boss ;)
