Behind The Lens

Location

In Provence,in the South of France,in front of My House,by the Swimming Pool.

Time

Late Afternoon, when the very last Sunrays were lighting the Pool.

Lighting

The last minutes of Sunshine in the Summer days are always golden colour when the Sky has been dark blue all day. This exact Light is in my opinion the Best adapted to the Pomegranate's Texture and Colour.

Equipment

I have used the Camera of My Mobile Phone for this image. No other equipment.

Inspiration

I visited the organic orchard of pomegranates of Jean-Claude PERETTO, in Domazan,Provence, who is the Number 1 French producer of organic Pomegranates in France, and who was in the process of Creating his organic pomegranate juice's Brand Name when I met him... Editing

No post processing was necessary. The image I chose was exactly as I had intended it.

In my camera bag

NIKON F3,ANGENIEUX 70-210 Zoom Lense,My Blackberry Mobile Phone's Camera.

Feedback

You always come accross mountains of Fruits and Vegetables every day when You shop for organic food...Actually it is quite rare to see this one in millions that is so perfect that it actually makes you smile, - forget everything you have to do, -forget everything you have in your mind -focus on taking pictures of it ! My advice regarding Fruits and Veggies...Food Photography is: When you are in such luck to have something inspiring to photograph I think it is best to take it out of the Context where you found it to photograph it in your own indoor or outdoor studio.
