Behind The Lens

Location

My backyard.

Time

It was taken just after a brief morning shower.

Lighting

I used the light mother nature offered at that moment.

Equipment

just my Nikon D3100 ... I could of used the tri-pod but was to stubborn to go in the house and get it.

Inspiration

I was inspired by the beauty of this rose after the rain. It looked fresh, new and vibrant.

Editing

I may have cropped this photo. In all honesty I very rarely post-process my photos.

In my camera bag

Oh boy.. memory cards, dusting rag, gloves, tripod and lens. Of course my camera. I also carry a notebook in there where I write interesting little tidbits i get off the photography internet sites.

Feedback

I am not a professional photographer it is my hobby. My advice bend, kneel, lay on your stomach. Don't be surprised at how many shots you get of your subject. Try different angles, go out at different times of day, and play with your camera settings. Learn to shoot in manual and Aperture and take advantage of your cameras functions. Play around with the ISO, White Balance and F-Stops. Always something new to learn in photography..... that makes it fun as well as interesting.
