Behind The Lens

Location

So this photo was taken at Tsitsikamma Nature Reserve in the Cape, South Africa

Time

I was just waiting for the right moment to take a sun set photo, and the next moment these group of boys climbed on the jeep and what a moment it was!

Lighting

As you can see the sun was already set, thus it was the absolute perfect moment before darkness. Take a few photos as the sun sets but let the sun be behind the jeep.

Equipment

Funny enough, no funny equipment! This photo was taken with the galaxy s4 Zoom. I didn't have a fancy camera back then, and Hey it looks pretty amazing!

Inspiration

I was on Matric holiday and with these guys on the roof, it was such a celebrating moment of school being finished. It was a moment of the sun going down and tomorrow morning will be a brand new day, thus just celebrating every moment we have alive.

Editing

It's such a long time ago, I might just have added a bit of contrast to enhance the picture.

In my camera bag

Well now I have my 3 lenses and my camera body. I have lip ice, because the job can be long. I have a cable, to plug in your camera if needed. I have a dual memory card reader, that can connect with my phone and computer.

Feedback

Shoot in raw if you're not sure if the lighting and white balance is going to be correct, it's so much easier to edit a photo from raw then from jpeg. A tripod will help to get the perfect shot, and definitely try all the angles before you settle for one!
