Location
Who knew Camden, NJ could look so good. This was taken from a raised platform in Cooper River Park overlooking Cooper River that flows into the Delaware River. My trustee sidekick (my son) got up with me at 4:00 AM to help me carry my tripod and gear to catch a sunrise. The creative push behind this shot was entering a contest for Camden Community College.Time
On scene at 4:00 AM but this shot was at sunrise.Lighting
only used natural light for this shot. With light like this, who needs anything else?Equipment
Nikon D90 with a a wide angle lens on a tripod.Inspiration
The creative drive came from entering a photo contest hosted by Camden Community College. Spending time with my son over a love of photography didn't hurt either.Editing
Brought the RAW image into Lightroom and added clarity, saturation and a touch of sharpness. In my camera bag
What don't I carry in my bag...haha. Two camera bodies - Nikons D90 and D800. Six lenses varying from macro to telephoto, four Nikon flashes, few filters, cleaning kit, Manfrotto tripod and monopod, spare batteries for everything and Motrin for my lower back due to carrying all the above.Feedback
Scout out your shoot location a couple of times and be there earlier than you think you need to be there. Be prepared to throw away all your scouting ideas as sometimes the beauty of the moment drives your perspective.......Good luck and happy shooting.
