In mid September 2011 along Highway 706 we traveled in overcast, dreaming of a view of Mount Rainier which is a massive active volcano with glaciers and icefalls. Then high above the clouds and fog below blanketing Seattle and surrounding area, we suddenly emerged into bright sunlight, intense blue sky, breathtaking views and Paradise.
