Behind The Lens

Location

The Grand Canyon’s South Rim

Time

This was mid-morning.

Lighting

I was lucky to have the natural lighting from the October morning sun shining on the subject but still low enough to keep the Vally floor int he shadows.

Equipment

I used a Canon Rebel XTi with a 18-55mm Lens

Inspiration

I was looking for wildlife to photograph when I came across this little guy. First he was on the sidewalk begging from visitors and then moved to the wall. He scampered around a bit then settled on the very edge of a rather large boulder about 5 feet from me. He was unconcerned there was nothing below him as he ate his breakfast.

Editing

no

In my camera bag

Canon Rebel XTi, Canon EFS 18-55mm Lens, Canon 75-300 Lens, tripod and a Nikon Coolpix AW110.

Feedback

Patience, take as many shots as you can, try to get eye level with your subject and use your tripod when necessary.
