In 4 days I've been to the mountains the only good-looking situation was this dawn: I woke up at 2.410meters at Rifugio Brioschi (Grigna settentrionale, Lombardy), and luckly the storm of the day before (which covered the sunset) was gone.
Saturday and Sunday (yesterday) I've been to Rifugio Casati, 3269meters on the Ortles-Cevedale group, between Lombardy and Trentino Alto-Adige, where an huge storm covered everything for two entire days. Just dusk, clouds, snow, and wind: no sunset, no dusk, no stars, no moon, nothing. Yesterday morning we waited until 10AM, but there were no improvements. So we even didn't see our goal (Monte Cevedale, 3.769meters). Maybe the next time;)
