Danaus petilia. Covers most of the Australian mainland. The lava of this butterfly is very distinctive and feeds on a wide variety of native plants

This is a small daisy ( to 1m ) but belonging to the Eucalyptus which can grow to 80m+ in some instances.

Hypolimnas bolina. Quite common in northern and eastern parts of Australia. The blue patches reflect UV light and can only be seen at certain angles.

Eucalyptus diversicolor. A single giant in a smaller forest.

A tiny ray of sunshine from 93 million miles away touched the ragged wings of this butterfly.
