Location
I shot the photo north of Hutchinson Kansas USA out in the country. I am self Taught when I go out SHOOTING it RELAXES me.YOU MAKE A PHOTO NOT TAKE IT!!!!!!!Time
It was in the evening before Sunset and that Day the Light and the clouds were perfect. And the Windmill was at the right Angle to with the Rudder.Lighting
On 9-5-2012 on that evening the Sun and the clouds were in the perfect positions for the color in the sky and the way the clouds were lit up. It was Fantastic shooting that night.Equipment
It was shot with a Canon T3i camera,Canon Lens 70mm to 300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Ultrasonic. And that was it no Tripod.Inspiration
I LOVE WINDMILL'S now there aren't as many as there use to be in Kansas and other States. I think Windmill's are AWESOME in photos. Eventually there wont be any left. Just like the Barn's they have fallen down and have been torn down.Editing
NO there was no post-processing.In my camera bag
I have a Canon T3i 60D and I also have a 7D Camera. On lens I have a 70mm to 300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM Ultrasonic film camera lens on digital it goes to 120mm to 480mm. Than I have a 18mm to 55mm IS Macro. On the lens I have two of each but only one of each in the bag. And I have about 4 extra battery's for each Camera. And a lot of SD card's and CF card's. And Lens cleaners, small flash light, shutter release cables, ETC.Feedback
Find a place to shoot what you want to shoot wait for the right time of day for the light and if there is clouds and an extra colorful Sky. Than that is a plus. You will eventually be at that spot when your shot all comes together.
