Behind The Lens

Location

Rapid City South Dakota

Time

Mid Afternoon

Lighting

The sky was overcast and the trees were just budding. The orange of the buds and the orange on the robins stood out so boldly against the white of the tree and the white of the sky.

Equipment

Canon 5D MII - 70-200 Canon lens

Inspiration

I couldn't not take this photo. The moment inspired me. In fact, I didn't have my camera at the time and shot home to grab my gear and rushed back. I was delighted that the birds were still there and were patient with me while I shot the moment

Editing

Minimal post processing in lightroom

In my camera bag

70-200 Lens, 18-200 lens, speedlight, remote shutter,

Feedback

do what it takes to get the shot. I was simply driving down the road when this shot presented myself. I was afforded the time to get my gear and come back. I did end up crawling out on top of my car to get the right angle.
