My idea was to use the sun light and shadows and the shadows will be only dress that the model will wear on her beautiful sexy body. This photo was taken at the “improvising studio” in a hotel room in Mexico . I am not professional photographer and every shot is pretty much new lesson for my. And this picture is a very good exam for this statement because this shot was not exactly perfect. (The idea was to take a boudoir shot playing with light and shadows - the pose was good the light was very complicate to work with and the results was that I decided to post-processing this image ( to correct little bit the background and the reflections from the model body )Time
The intent was to use the sun light (only natural light for this shot) .This is way this picture is taken around 4:00 PM It was a beautiful sunny day.Lighting
On the close space like that with big windows the light is amazing on sunny days, but you need to watch closely to for reflection and shadow and also her shadow. You cannot manipulate the direction of the light. The photographer need to find the position around the model that the light is perfect for what he intend to do. I love shooting subjects in this light and I know that will be better if I have a reflected light onto her, but I like to use imperfect lighting, it makes the image feel less staged and more naturalEquipment
The equipment which I used was just my camera Sony Alpha NEX F3- f/4 Exposure 1/60 ISO – 2000 and auto flash ( no flash ) no tripod or additional light or reflectors.Inspiration
What inspire me to take that photo? – My intent was to catch the beauty of the model. I think that when you trying to shooting a nude model, the very important things are: the pose the light, the accessories which will make the picture to tell you a story and the angle. My idea was to experiment with angles I think that when you trying shooting a nude model on the bed the angle are very important because the line between a good sexy and erotic photo and “trashy “ one is very, thin. My intent was to experiment with the angle to show the beauty of the model sexy legs, make an erotic nuance by showing that she is completely naked, but just show enough of her body to open the viewer’s imagination. I did not successes completely to reach my goal, ( because the reflection on her body was very strong), and I am glad that the viewers like it.Editing
This was my next lesson (Most important part of post-processing is having an image that will take it on well). I am tried just to correct little bit the light and the reflection on her skin, because her body was wet and the reflection was strong. I ended creating two versions of this picture Black and White and Color version. I decided that the B&W look better. The picture is not perfect, but I am glad that the viewers like it.In my camera bag
