Location
This photo was taken at one of the most picturesque beaches on the Isle of Man. Perfect for watching the sun come down.Time
This was taken a little while into the end of summer. It's still warm but there's a slight chill to things. The occasional dog walker would be taking it in too.Lighting
The natural light peering from behind the jetty is a great way of framing everything. I like how light can be so dynamic. It shows and hides at the same time. I think we all forget how integral light is to our lives and how it can make somewhere truly come alive.Equipment
This was taken with my Olympus SZ-31MR, my go to for reliable and quick photos whilst traveling.Inspiration
As a avid walker and someone who is a big fan of coastlines it's hard not to drop down when one is so close. The light you get as the sun sets is very atmospheric which is another reason that inspired me.Editing
The photo was unaltered as it didn't really need any work done. It's muted but still has a lot of impact. In my camera bag
I like to keep light and with a low end budget my camera seems to work.Feedback
Knowing an area helps i think, you're taking less of a risk if you're after that perfect shot in a short amount of time. Then again getting that great shot by chance is a great feeling. Positioning is a key thing, if you can bring a number of objects or piecies of landscape together. That creates a rich and interesting image.
