Annual plants, very easy to grow from seed. The flower was named after Johann Gottfried Zinn (1727-1759). Flowers of the Zinnia are found in a multitude of shapes and sizes. Most common are the multi-petaled ball shaped blossoms and the daisy shaped blossoms. Blossom sizes range from 1-2 inch across to 3 inches across. Zinnias are a wonderful, highly colorful mass flower for summer arrangements.
Zinnia elegans Whirlygig Mix is fascinating. This mix features large 3-4.5" fully double semi-cactus blooms. A gorgeous mixture of bizarre bicolor patterns. Color range includes yellow-crimson, red-white, pink-white, also cream-rose, bronze-red and many other nice colors. This has a combination of reds, whites, yellows, pinks, and oranges. They are heat-loving plants. Zinnias bloom during that part of summer when many other flowers have finished from late July until your first frost. Grows to 24-28 inches tall.
These vibrant zinnia flowers are ideal for attracting bees and butterflies to your garden and also make an attractive cut flower for a vase indoors.
