Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at the Eilean Donan Castle on our way to Skye. I enjoy taking photos in my spare time and in new or unique places. I take lots of photos of each shot because you are sure to be able to find a good one.

Time

This photo was taken in the late morning as we were traveling to Skye to spend the day. For Scotland, we had the clearest sky with no rain in sight and it was so enjoyable, we walked around in tank tops. Prime photography weather indeed.

Lighting

The lighting was perfect. The sun was in the right spot in the sky to capture the reflection on the water and give everything a clarity.

Equipment

I took this picture with a simple Nikon Coolpix S4100. Nothing else was used except for my eyes and hands.

Inspiration

I say, just look at it. It was fascinating just to see the view and the reflection on the water with the sunny day we had, which is rare in and of itself for Scotland.

Editing

Absolutely nothing. I download and organize into folders on my computer.

In my camera bag

Just the simple Nikon Coolpix S4100 or now I use my great Samsung phone to snap some quick shots.

Feedback

Watch for the weather!!! Where the cloud placement is and the sun in the sky. Pay attention to the time of day as that will play a big part. If you don’t capture the perfect photo you were trying for. Take note of the time of day and try again the next day with a new time in mind.
