Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in Calcutta, India. This bridge is located over river Hooghly in Calcutta.

Time

This is a twilight photo, taken just after the sunset. I was just walking around the rive bank and suddenly found this composition. As I wasn't carrying my tripod so it was a hand held shot.

Lighting

I like the light and shade effect of this image. The light after the sunset and the silhouette made this image interesting; and somewhat romantic.

Equipment

This was shot on Canon 60D with 18-135 f/5.6 lens.

Inspiration

I always enjoy taking twilight photos with some mystery and calmness.

Editing

Yes. This photo was take in RAW format so I did some editing in Lightroom.

In my camera bag

My Canon 60D and 18-135 f/5.6 Canon lens. I also carry a Canon 40MM f/2.8 pancake lens. A 70-300mm telephoto lens, couple of filters and an extra battery.

Feedback

It's always better to use tripod. If you're shooting in India, you have to be very patient because it's a very crowded country. So, just pick your spot and wait patiently till you get the shot you want.
