Wow! Fantastic. Voted - no doubt about that. I have a group called "Every Picture Tells a Story". I would love to see it in there. No one is even looking at him - does that make him invisible?

"The Invisibile Man Of Poverty" His invisibility caused by the selfishness of the passers by not one is making eye contact, in fact they all look determined in haste to pass him before he wakes up, even the woman at the head of the crowd shows no compassion. The sad thing about this amazing photo is it happens everywhere/anywhere/anytime in the world.

I can't put into words the feelings this image creates. A sadness, a lack of empathy of the crowd as they continue past this poor soul... What is he thinking? What brought him to this... Voted!

I voted for you, debkumarbanerjee. This is an incredibly moving portrait of the homeless, lost soul to the street. "The Invisible Man of Poverty" is poetically, ostensibly titled and speaks volumes to all ends of this earth. You were brave to have taken this picture, and I can't help but think you must have been somewhat weary by day's end of this journey to the street. I appreciate your talent and I thank you for sharing.

Living for many years in a Third World country my heart always go out to those who are looked down upon. I lived in Central Asia for many years and am appalled how other human beings treat those who are less fortunate. This picture tells a story of how life can afflict anybody but what is sad especially in India is that society in the cast system could care less about the lower cast of people. That is not how God the Father created us. God the Father tells us to love those who are less fortunate to help them and in doing so we in ourselves we are helped by Him who created us. This is an all to familiar site all over the world, people who are homeless and needing a hand to survive are looked down upon with disgust and people avoid them or their cries for help. This picture clearly details this as this man is looking down in shame and people just walk by as if he is invisible. Excellent capture and capton, this photo tells a heart rendering story without words and that my friend is what photography is all about.. Well done! VTD

I spent a few years working with the homeless in the USA. The difference is illustrated in your photo, and it reiterates what I told them : "Count your blessings, your could be in other parts of the world and be starving."

Before we call ourselves "Human Beings" We should first learn what it is to "Be Humane"! Count Your Blessing's People And Remember All Of Us In A Single Heart Beat Are A Stones Throw Away From Becoming Like This Man... And Even Worse Having The The Attitudes Of The Passers By Like In This Photograph!
Very Powerful Image Of What Serves To Remind Us Of Some Of The Worst Of The Human Condition That Is In All The World & In Every Country... Poverty And The Lack Of Compassion That Some Would Walk By It Without A Care Or Even A Prayer. VOTED

Like that you have used a different point of view than most people would have. Think I might would have tried a strong black and white version of this as well. Think there is to much "negative" space in the sky that is blown out. But its good that you see things differently.

This picture tells a sad story of humankind, how there is that seeming lack of compassion for the unfortunate souls in this world. It's amazing that he draws not even a glance of compassion from others. It's like the story of the Good Samaritan in the Bible except this poor souls has yet to see his help. The picture would look stronger perhaps with less people but then would lose the message of how no one seems to care by not even a look. You captured this story with great feeling and emotion in the image. Great job of photojournalism!! I voted for it too. keep uip the good work.

I love the dramatics that this image has captured. Knowing the passers by turn a blind eye because they see this so often that they actually become untouched.

the shot itself is good but i believe its title is misleading...pottery, in such a stage, is change...being shaped into what it will be displayed as, this evokes a feeling of the clay cast aside when the true pottery is complete, clay that people passing by wouldnt even notice, as apposed to the crowds that would culminate around a finished piece of pottery

THIS is a powerful shot..it shows the other not-so-good side of this human story....this is what photojournalists pass through daily...taking shots that in the evening makes one feel sad...or rather have a not-a-so good-feeling of- this- world...i feel you photojournalist....this kind of feeling affects us all....HOWEVER GOOD WORK...

Terrific shot. A lot to be read into it. The group seem to be walking with a purpose. Was something happening out of shot?
