Great shot, perfectly timed. The feather makes this a really unique capture. Congratulations on the award.

This photo was taken in my back garden whilst I was on leave and supposed to have been decorating ????????Time
This was taken in the morning from memoryLighting
Natural light overcast but fairly brightEquipment
This was taken on my old Nikon D50 with the tamron 70-300 on my manfrotto tripod which was probably worth more than the camera and lense ????????????Inspiration
I was looking out of the window of the room I was decorating and saw the birds taking Nesting material into the hedge they stopped on this small tree before going in every time, this was the second day I sat ou there as I didn't get the shot on the first day and to my delight they were at it againEditing
Bit of mild sharpening and noise reduction and probably a bit of colour adjustment and a slight cropIn my camera bag
Nowadays I have my d5300 which nearly always has my sigma 150-600 contemporary fitted to itFeedback
Just head out and shoot, don't get disheartened if you don't get the shot you want just keep going, also, be patient and let nature come to you.
