After nearly breaking my ankle sliding down the icy slope to the rocks below I was slightly disappointed when I couldn't get the shot I was looking for. I decided cut my losses, climb back up the slope and head to the pier. But as I reached the top of the slope I saw the sun popping up over the pier and immediately scrambled to set up my camera and capture the golden tones across the water.
