Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken at Logan pass in Glacier park Montana while visiting my Aunt who lives there. We took a drive through the park one day and it was beautiful.

Time

This is one of my favorite pictures because of the time of day that affected the way the picture turned out...it was around high noon and we were just reaching the top of the sun road. As soon as we reached this point I knew this would be a perfect place to snap this picture.

Lighting

I knew the lighting of the sky versus the clouds and the time of day would be perfect and I wanted the viewer to be drawn in and feel as though they were there themselves, especially for those that have never visited the park.

Equipment

I used an olympus pen EP1

Inspiration

The inspiration for taking this photo was the coloring versus the sky and just the pure beauty of Montana. I wanted to capture it all.

Editing

Not at all I am such an amateur I have no idea how to even do any of those things.

In my camera bag

For now just my Olympus pen EP1

Feedback

I believe the more pictures the better and what you feel may capture your eye will most likely capture others. The colors and the lighting and what you can see as a picture on your wall as well as someone elses. For me everything becomes a picture and when I see something worth taking a picture of I see it in a frame hanging on my wall as I am taking the shot.
