Location
I took this photo in the Faroe Islands, on the island of StremoyTime
It was in March 2013, in the morning. The lights were sublimeLighting
The lighting is completely natural and it was difficult to capture all the contrasts especially on the hills. I had to do multi exposure to restore the incredible atmosphereEquipment
I used a Sony Alpha 65V, with a Sony 11-14mm lens with 11mm focal length, iso 100, and one aperture at 11 . My tripod was a VanguardInspiration
First of all I saw this terminal which dates from the Vikings and which represented a sign. These terminals are now classified as World Heritage. Then I saw this valley and this island that we see in the distance and which inspired me the idea of travel, discovery, dreamEditing
I used 5 raw and I worked with light masks in Photoshop and Photomatix. In my camera bag
At the moment I have in my bag my Canon 5 D Mark IV, an Irix 11mm lens and a Canon 17-40mm lens. I have a neutral gray filter and an ND 1000 filter, my remote control and my tools to clean my lenses and my camera. I also have several sd cards and my Manfrotto 190 tripod.Feedback
I think such landscapes give free rein to our imagination. The advice that I would give to people would be that they restore a landscape as they feel it rather than as they see it. Go beyond technique and let your imagination run wild.
