I took this photo at a Volkswagen show at Tatton Mark i Cheshire th eVW club i am part of has a themed club stand every year to raise money for charityTime
This was shot was taken around mid afternoon so it was still light enough to have some beautiful natural light.Lighting
It was taken outside on a bright clear day so there was plenty of natural light, there was a little tea pot on the table as well and moving it in to the bottom of the frame helps fill a space and break the photo up slightly.Equipment
Believe it or not this was taken with my phone, the Apple iPhone's have a great lens, I just wish i had taken my DSLR so I could have taken it at a higher resolution.Inspiration
The contrast between the red and the white really caught my attention, I couldn't stop looking at the flowers against the table cloth, it was almost begging me to take it. I really like high contrast images and images where there are two primary colours.Editing
In photo's like this where there is one main object and two primary colours I like to really pump up the contrast and the brightness to make the image more vivid, as this was taken on my phone I had a mobile version of Photoshop which allowed me to do this, it was then bought up even further when it was uploaded to my Instagram. In my camera bag
When i am out on a shoot i normally take my Canon 1000D and my 18-35MM lens with a wide angle attachment, but this time all i had on me was my trusty iPhone 4!Feedback
The contrast boost can make the difference between light and dark colours apparent, while boosting the overall brightness of a photo can hide things on a white background
