Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Mexico's wine country,"Valle de Guadalupe" at my wife's family ranch.

Time

I shot this early in the morning. Being only 15 minutes from the ocean,we usually have the oceans breath at our front door.

Lighting

Mother Nature was working the lights and effects, but with a little timing it all worked out.

Equipment

I was using a Sony nex5-n with a stock 35-55 lens, no tripod, no flash

Inspiration

I didn't wake up with the idea that i was going to take that picture, it just kind of presented its self. I had all the elements there, I just had to look for the best time to shoot it.

Editing

Nothing, other than the B/W. I went with B/W because I felt like it gave it more pop, the original is nice, but i just didn't get the same feeling.

In my camera bag

Extra battery, macro, filters.

Feedback

For me, it's about knowing your equipment. Sometimes it's just point and shoot, but when you have to work the camera to get your shot, that's when it feels even better.
