Nice use of the elements and colors of nature. The sky is blue but the waters are mucky like after a storm and the tree lays as an indication of natures anger. Nice.

Location
This photograph was taken on the east side of Jekyll Island, Georgia. It is a small island owned by the State of Georgia. Since it is owned by the state, there are few businesses and an abundance of wildlife and seashore. The is also much history on the island dating back to 1700s. It has a club that was built in the early 1900s along with house built by the Goodyear, Roosevelt, and Pulitzer families to name a few. Anyone who enjoys nature and history should visit this island be prepared to shoot any number of scenes ranging from sunrise, sunsets, beaches, historic sites, nature and wildlife. You will not be disappointed.Time
This particular shot was taken in the late afternoon on a cloudy day.Lighting

Canon 70D, tripod and Sogma 17-70mm lens.Inspiration
As we all know, lighting can make or ruin a photograph. Personally I prefer natural lighting and seldom use artificial lighting. None of the photographs that I put on ViewBug have any flash of other artificial lighting.Editing
Used Adobe LightroomIn my camera bag
Whenever I go out I carry a tripod, a Canon 70D and 3Ti, extra batteries for both cameras, a 500-1000mm lens, a 17-70mm lens, a 0-300mml lens and a18-55mm lens. This combination of lenses has been all I needed in capturing just about all the images that I may be interested in capturing. I also carry extra memory cards, a lens cleaning kit, camera hoods and two flashes.Feedback
First and foremost. If you are really serious about photography, always have your camera within arms reach. Shots can come at anytime anywhere. Nothing worse than knowing you missed a shot that would have been great in your mind and eyes. Unless you are in a studio, the shot you could have had is gone forever and regretting you missed a shot should be enough of a lesson to show you that you have to be prepared at all times if you really are serious about photography. I learned the hard way.
