Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken in my 'homemade'studioTime
It was taken at night so i could deal with the 'studio light' without any pertubation of any other light source.Lighting
I wanted to control the light, so it was taken at night, with a flash and a reflectorEquipment
This was qhot with a Canon 5D Mark II, Macro Lens 100 mm 2.8 L IS USM, a tripod, a flash and a reflectorInspiration
I wanted to play with my home made studio and make an artistic photo of flower focusing on the shape of the flowerEditing
I've done a post processing to emphase the Black and whiteIn my camera bag
My favorite lens is a 100 mm MACRO. I always got with me a 50 mm I use most of the time in the street. I prefere fixe lenses, but sometimes in travel or natural walk I've used a 28-300 mmFeedback
First, prepare your flower studio, put the background you want (here a black tissu) : as you control the light, you can give the effect you want (POV especially). Use a deported flash, directed to the reflector so it will give a scattered light, and be careful to the disgraceful shades.
