I was taking a very leisure drive when all of a sudden this weird thing in the distance caught my attention. As I drive closer I still couldn't figure out what is was. I grabbed my camera and walked closer and eventually realized it was a bird. It stayed in its private corner of the world in this " drying" position for quite some time. I am soooooo glad I followed my instinct and captured this amazing creature.

This is such a great image! I thought, "What kind of crazy looking bird is that?" I've seen plenty of blue herons, but never one that looked like it was dancing a jig. Glad you ID'd it for me.
