I took this image during an evening event called a Balloon Glow at the Lewisville Tx Lions Club Balloon FestivalTime
It was just after sunset with some amazing colors in the sky being provided by a thunderstorm to the westLighting
There were thunderstorms in the distance in all directions providing amazing colors in the skyEquipment

The explosions of color while the balloons had their burners lit was amazing. It was like you could just feel all of the color radiating over the field and mixed with all of the other colors in the sky, it was just an intense feeling.Editing

I have since upgraded my camera, and now I normally carry my D800, 24-70 f2.8, 70-200 f2.8, 85 f1.8G, two speedlights, tripod and raingearFeedback
Don't be afraid of rainy days, small events or getting your shoes a little dirty. This balloon festival only attracts about 11-14 balloons, but it allows you to get great images that aren't cluttered with a lot of balloon stacked in the same place. It also gives you some great opportunity for street photography because many of these have arts and crafts festivals going along at the same time
