@anandp: I didn't use any flash, it's natural light from the sun and the black frame around it are leaves :) Of course some contrast adjustment is made to emphasize the main subject :)

In the morning, between 10:00 AM - 11:00 AMLighting
I relied on natural light - the dragonfly was trapped at the spider web surrounded by bushes. This condition what enabled me to shoot in the macro mode without worrying the dragonfly to move around as well as experimenting with different shooting and lighting positions.Equipment
Camera - Canon 60D, Lens - Sigma 50mm MacroInspiration
Initially I was inspired to take close up shot, but trapped dragon fly provided me with opportunity to experiment with silhouette macro.Editing
I needed to boost the silhouette effect by increasing the contrast of the main object with the background by pushing the entire object to be black colour.In my camera bag
Main camera, couple of lenses (Macro, fast lens and wide lens) and spare battery.Feedback
