Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken on a trip to the O2, London.

Time

This was taken in the afternoon around 2pm. it was a glorious day with not a cloud in the sky. It made a awesome backdrop for the photo.

Lighting

I did not have to worry about the lighting as the natural blue sky was all I needed. The sun was just off to the right behind me.

Equipment

All I had taken with me that day was my trusted old Bridge Camera. A Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ20.

Inspiration

This was one of the first times I had seen the Emirates Cable Car system and was fascinated by it. The small cabs seem to float in the air against the beautiful blue sky. It was a photograph I just had to take.

Editing

I did no post-processing at all. I was very lucky that the lighting was perfect for such a shot.

In my camera bag

I always carry around my Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ20 and just recently a nikon D3300 with a 70-300mm telephoto lens. Lens cleaners and filters.

Feedback

The view of the Emirates Cable car is best seen when just coming off it after travelling from the Excel Centre arriving at the O2. Just a very short walk, crossing the road to the car park, and then looking to your right.
