For the last 10 years, whenever flying from the USA to Europe, and especially in the winter, I've always sat on the left side and looked out the window in hopes of spotting the Northern Lights. Finally, my 10 year quest came to an end on 21 February 2014!
The flight was bumpy and so getting a sharp image was a challenge. I took several photos, with various lenses, and this final image was with my 14-28mm ultra-wide angle, f2.8 lens. I really like how this image shows not only the aurora borealis, but also the stars and the interior of the aircraft. I was sitting upstairs in a 747 (one of my favorite places to be) and while all the other passengers were sleeping, I was getting the show of a lifetime!
