Behind The Lens

Location

I took the picture on the island of capri ( capri is located in Italy close to Sorrento. We were on a cruise and spend the night in a front to the island. For dinner we choose to visit a litte rich restaurant with a beautiful view over the ocean and the headland.

Time

I took this picture right after sunset around 7:40 pm

Lighting

At that time I had a digital camera, the Panasonic Lumix DMC TZ 22.With this camera i can't do any adjustments.

Equipment

I imported the picture into iPhoto and did some small adjustments like straigthe, automatic correction and effects. At that time I didnt have the skills of doing anything else. Today I am working with Aperture and Lightroom.

Inspiration

I always loved to takte pictues and whenever I have the time ma camera is with me and I am looking for the next great theme. I wanted to capture the shadow and that awesome tone of orange and I think I did a pretty good job

Editing

I imported the picture into iPhoto and did some small adjustments like straigthe, automatic correction and effects. At that time I didnt have the skills of doing anything else. Today I am working with Aperture and Lightroom.

In my camera bag

Today I take pictures with the Nikon D7100 and I love using the Af-Nikkor 18-55 1:3,5-5.6G, I can capture everything and it is light and with the AF-S Nikor 10-24 mm 1:3.5-4.5 GED for landscape and a tripold from Sirur (because that is light as well) wich I need for time exposure. A small remote controller. For little photo excursions I take a photobag and for longer trips I bought a 1.5 kg light TENBA backpack where I have enough space for my tripold and different lenses.

Feedback

Everybody can take great pictures. No matter what kind of camera you use. Wheter in JPEG or Raw, Automatic (like I did for this picture) or manuel adjustment. If you enjoy taking pictures and spend some time and if you bring patience you can capture the beautiful things and people in life. And If you find a stage like viewbug with great people and amazing pictures from all over the world you have a wonderful way to spend your free time with a lot of fun.
