Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken in a friend's backyard near my home in Knoxville, Tennessee. I am self taught and I consider everything I do practice. Sometimes I get lucky.

Time

This was in the early afternoon. The lighting caught my eye on this particular dandelion.

Lighting

I took this in the early fall so the colors of the trees were changing and the lighting in Tennessee in the fall is absolutely beautiful.

Equipment

Nikon D3000. Nikon 60 mm f2.8 micro lens. No tripod. No flash.

Inspiration

The love of macro and nature inspired me to take this photograph.

Editing

I adjusted the contrast, cross processed it twice and added a vintage effect.

In my camera bag

I always have both my Nikon D200 and D200 along with my macro lens, 35 mm and Sigma 70-300.

Feedback

I honestly think practice and passion are key in taking any photograph. I can't say I completely know what I'm doing as far as photography, I just know I have the drive and passion.
