Love the lighting and the color contrast with the background.
What a heartbreaking loss.

Location
This photo was taken in New Hampshire.Time
It was late afternoon.Lighting
The sun was low in the sky which caused it to glow of his body.Equipment
This photo was taken with a fixed lens Panasonic DMC-fz10.Inspiration
I was walking down the road to see him. As usual he came up to fence to greet me. I was about forty yards away when I decided to zoom in and take this shot. This was one of the last shots I was able to get of him before he passed.Editing
Using 'Corel Pant Shop Pro" I decided to remove the metal gate that he was standing behind. It was about six inches wide just below his chin. I also removed a wooden post that was beside him.In my camera bag
At the time I had a small bag in which I carried an extra battery. I always had plenty of photos to show to anyone willing to lookFeedback
Always have that camera on hand even if your out doing chores
