Location
Pukekura park, New Plymouth, Taranaki, New ZealandTime
It was around 10am, I was looking at location for a wedding I was going to be doing where I would be doing the formals around the same time. It just looked to stunning to pass up the opportunity.Lighting
In this image I used natural just as it was starting to brake through over the tops of the trees.Equipment
I used a 650d canon camera with an EFS 18-135mm lens, pretty much straight out of the box and a rather cheap flimey tripod. No other equipment filters, flash etcInspiration
Taking a walk around the park at that time of the morning there was very little people walking about, and even with the rushing of the water it seemed very tranquil, I couldn't help but try and capture the moment to shear. The image will never beat being there in person or tho I tried my best, but it holds a great memory.Editing
It did do some post processing with lightroom. The exposure was lightened up with a little sharpening and a slight boost to the greens. As I am not an expert and was new to light room it took a bit of playing around to get something that looked close to what it did on the day. But I think I managed to get it close. In my camera bag
I still use the 650d canon but mainly for when I do macro work. I now carry a x-t1 fujifilm camera around with only two lenses, a 50-140mm and a 18-55mm . A yongnuo speedlite, one 10 stop polarizing lens, spare SD cards and a tripod strapped to my back. I try and keep my pack as light as possible.Feedback
I took this image using a tripod with a slow shutter speed, try different speeds until you get the required effect you are looking for. This images was taken with the settings at 1/4sec with an iso at 100. Take your time, play around with the settings and most of all enjoy yourself.
