I took this picture in my backyard after a gentle rainstorm.Time
It was taken at around midmorning. The morning was gorgeous and heavy rain drops balanced gently on every surface. It looked like the plants had been sprinkled with little diamonds.Lighting
This was shot in natural light as the sun had started to break through the cloud cover. It was bright but gentle.Equipment
I shot this with my Canon T1i and a Canon EF 50mm f/2.5 macro lens.Inspiration
I originally went out to see if any bugs would be out after the rain, but the sheer beauty of the droplets on everything was a quick distraction!Editing
I did very little. The picture was shot as jpg and was cleaned up a little but that is all.In my camera bag
I now have a Canon T5i and my favorite lens is my Tamron AF 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di LD VC Aspherical (IF) Macro Zoom lens and a macro (just in case).Feedback
I think the only advice I have when shooting macro shots is that beauty is all around you and don't be shy to experiment.
