Location
This shot was taken in Madrid, Spain during a visit to the royal botanical gardens. At that time, I was a beginner photographer and use the close up settings on my camera for the shot.Time
I do love the way this shot came out, it was late afternoon in Spain and the lighting was almost perfect.Lighting
Other than using available light, not much else to shareEquipment
My camera at this time was a Canon Rebel XT. This shot was hand held as it didn’t want to travel with the tripod.Inspiration
I do love taking pictures of flowers and love keeping the flower in focus with the blurred backgroundEditing
No post processing on this shot. It turned out great as is.In my camera bag
While this photo was taken a while ago, today I always have my canon 70d with me as well as my 18-400 zoom lens, my 50 mm lens and a macro lens with me at all times. I do now carry a tripod with me at all times as it it so worth it for the extra stability it brings.Feedback
When doing handheld close up shots, hold your breath to keep your camera as steady as possible.
