One of the amazing specialists (angels) in the ICU ran a series of tests, one being echocardiogram on my wife's heart. As a husband and engineer, I had many questions. Observing blood flow through our hearts...where valves open and closed in a surreal unending dance of flutters; our bodies, a miracle. We don't often consider how truly fragile we are and so complex (all those systems working together). Taking our finite lives for granted...I'm in awe and thankful!

Technology and knowledge has come a long way!! My daughter is a nurse, and now has specialized as a CRNA. But before she was a CRNA, she worked as a pediatric ICU nurse. I have such respect for the medical teams. And nurses are angels...they take care of the medical and human compassionate side of the issues. I am so glad all went well ...and your wife is recovering!! 😊
