On a visit with my cousin after her mother had passed, knowing how I loved taking photos of nature and never having been here before, her husband drove me to the waterfront a few blocks away from their house. I walked around for a while and this peaceful place grounded me, allowing me to process what had just happened.
This shot was taken at Munro Waterfront Park in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts, the perspective here is from walking down the edge of the water. The sunset created some beautiful colors across the way, subtle and serene.
