The photo captured in Vitacura, a district in the city of Santiago, Chile, portrays a beautiful moment in the backyard of a house. Hellen, the charming labradoodle dog, rests peacefully beneath a table with wheels. The image evokes a sense of tranquility and a connection with nature. ????????Time
The photo was taken around 4:00 PM, as the summer afternoon heat began to subside. It was a sunny day with a touch of smog, which is typical of summer days in Santiago, ChileLighting
The lighting is natural and indirect, in a place with even shadows, due to the reflection of radiation on a white wall with some vegetation, and it is diffused because it is under a table and due to the bounce of light on the natural cobblestones of the floorEquipment
Hellen evokes a variety of emotions and sensations, and this photo represents tranquility and serenity. It conveys a sense of peace and calmness—the soft fur, half-closed eyes, and relaxed posture all contribute to a feeling of relaxation and rest. Furthermore, the image helps us connect with nature. The indirect and diffused light, resulting from reflections off walls and floors filtered through vegetation leaves, along with the texture of the natural cobblestones, reinforces this connection. Hellen, with her abundant love and companionship, inspires feelings of gratitude and affection toward our loyal furry friends! ????????Editing
Generally, I try to keep the images as raw as possible. This is a hobby, and I don’t have much time to commit to post-processing. Occasionally, I attempt to adjust exposure, color balance, shadows, and lighting slightly. I’m particularly interested in emphasizing perspective—I’m a professional architect, and it’s something I pay close attention to. I use editing tools sparingly, and I continue learning every day. I enjoy traveling and seeking out new spaces and details. Hopefully, over time, I’ll continue to improve and achieve better results. ????????In my camera bag
Generally, I carry a mobile phone, nothing too sophisticated (XIAOMI, SAMSUNG A54, or S20). I also have a Sony ILCE-6000L camera, a DJI MINI2 drone, and eventually an old Nikon D7100 camera with some lenses and a tripod.Feedback
I don’t have enough experience to recommend many things; I’m not a professional photographer. However, what seems more important than having the latest camera with the best sensor or lens is being able to capture authentic and meaningful moments. Technique and equipment are valuable, but the true magic happens when you can convey emotions, tell stories, and find beauty in the everyday. Keep exploring and enjoying your passion for photography!
